Welcome to my website. I'm glad you stopped by. I started writing about four years ago. My first manuscript, Coming Home the Long Way was contracted by Awe-Struck Books in the summer of 2005.
Ellie's Dream, my second manuscript, was contracted by Samhain Publishing in the summer of 2006.
Here's the weird part about publishing, both books are coming out in April 2007. I guess that's a good thing. It takes so long from acceptance to publication.
I'll be publishing some short stories here, free for you to enjoy.
Random Thoughts are things that I have written that are too short for stories, more like essays, I guess. The first one is called My Mother's Snapdragons. All true.

Out of the blue, Ellie gets a chance to live another life when she goes to New York City for the summer to escape her problems. She gets a job of sorts, pet-sitting for her friend’s cousin.
She loves New York. The parks, the food, the museums, the clubs all beckon. The only annoyance is Seth, the beast who unexpectedly shares the apartment.
Seth wants her to leave. Women are trouble and he needs to focus on his music. But she is hard to ignore, especially after they discover a mutual love of jazz. Ellie is up for a fling. After all, who can resist such a bad boy?
Ellie’s Dream is about finding your heart, finding your passion and letting go.

 Love may be better the second time around but it sure isn't easier
The biggest mistake of Daniel Klein’s life was leaving Kathleen Doherty.It was self defense, he left her before she figured out he was a loser. She loved him, but he knew that eventually she would leave him. Score one for Daniel, he did the leaving taking his infant son, Leo. He realized his mistake too late. Kathleen married the perfect man, a doctor.
The biggest mistake of Kathleen’s life was sleeping with her old boyfriend John. Maggie was the result. Maggie was not the mistake however. Marrying John was. Kathleen went from an independent woman who lived in New York to a housewife in Wayzata, Minnesota. When John dies in an accident, Kathleen rebuilds her life with the help of friends and family. Through it all she still dreams about Daniel.
